How many films can I submit?
- You may submit as many films as you want, in any category(s)
- An organization (e.g. a school, arts organization, etc.) may submit entries and fees for multiple students, but we ask that the organization register each student separately.
How much does it cost to submit?
The submission fee helps support the running of the festival by The School Factory, a 501C3 non-profit organization, and Bucketworks, a program of the School Factory.
1 entry: $10.00
2 entries: $15.00
3 entries: $25.00
4 entries: $35.00
5 entries: $45.00
6 or more entries: $50.00 flat fee
- Checks may be made out to Bucketworks.
Where do I send my finished film(s)?
- Once you register, you will receive a confirmation e-mail, as well as one requesting 3 things:
(1) A short bio of yourself as a filmmaker
(2) A short summary of your film(s)
(3) A scannable photo of yourself, for use in promotional materials (print and online) and festival programming (you can send one through the mail or download one and e-mail it to director@milwaukeespotlightfilms.org)
- We’re including this information here, just in case you don’t receive your e-mail message request.
- Please use DVD-R or DVD+R
- Please label the DVD clearly with the following:
your full name
the full title of film
category (genre and, if applicable, “Spotlight U” or “Beyond Wisconsin”)
exact length
